The MAAA invites those ages 14+ to learn American Sign Language (ASL) in the upstairs classroom at the Gallery on the Square. This program with Alyssa Arter will consist of eight 90-minute classes on Sunday afternoons from 3:30 - 5 pm beginning on June 25th and ending August 27th. (No class on July 9th or August 13th)
A video recap will be available to students who miss a class.
Alyssa writes: “ASL is a beautifully expressive language that utilizes hand gestures, facial expressions, and yes, sounds to communicate. Early and enhanced communication with children, as well as connecting with those in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community will make your life infinitely richer. I am excited to join you on an 8-week journey to learning American Sign Language!”
Class size is limited. Your completed registration form and payment reserves your spot in class. Register by June 19th so supplies can be ordered.
