Join Division of Natural Areas & Preserves field botanist Andrew Lane Gibson as he delves into the world of Ohio’s sedges. What makes a sedge a sedge? How diverse and specialized a group are they? Are sedges really that intimidating and challenging to learn? Their difficult reputation may precede them but sedges truly are some of our most beautiful, diverse, and inspiring plants well worth your attention. Gibson hopes to help shed the air of frustration and introduce these plants in a new light and inspire others to become fellow sedgeheads.
