Singer-songwriter Anders Osborne is a deeply respected voice in American roots music, known for his soulful songwriting, distinctive open-D guitar style, and decades-long connection to New Orleans. Born in Sweden and drawn early to music and poetry, Osborne relocated to New Orleans at nineteen and has since become a cornerstone of the city’s musical community.
Across 17 full-length albums, his work blends blues, rock, folk, and spiritual reflection, earning praise from Guitar Player, OffBeat, and Gambit Weekly. His songs have been recorded by artists including Keb’ Mo’, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, and Aaron Neville, and he has collaborated or toured with legends ranging from Dr. John and Bonnie Raitt to John Scofield and Phil Lesh.
Osborne’s recent album Picasso’s Villa reflects a career defined by emotional honesty, artistic curiosity, and a relentless pursuit of truth—onstage and beyond.
