&J is a take on thematic improv. Guest artists are both players and directors in slice of life vignettes whose stories are largely influenced by the audience.
The show is a long form based on the concept of 80s or 90s sitcom shows that are filmed in front of live audiences. J plays a central character who, while we can see is the main character of the show, is colored and endowed with who he is to other people. The case of actors-improvisers will come in and do a 6-7 minute scene with him all the while making J’s character more and more whole. J’s character stays the same for the entire show.
