Ancient Egyptian & Greek Astrology Workshop

The great value of astrology is to 'know yourself'.
The astrology that most western astrologers use is mostly from ancient Greece. Yet the ancient Egyptians had been studying the skies thousands of years before the Greeks and were very skilled astrologers. Some of their knowledge can still be seen in the drawings on the surviving temple walls in Egypt. The ancient Egyptians had profound wisdom and their illustrations give further insights into the signs. The Egyptians show:
• Aries looking east to the rising sun and the new day
• Taurus as the powerful life force and chi for the physical body
• Gemini as the duality in all things: as above so below
• Cancer as a beetle who embraces and protects life
• Leo as a cobra connected to royalty and rising kundalini
• Virgo as seeds, which contain all the details for life
• Libra as the horizon and the beautiful balance of night and day
• Scorpio as a water bug who feels strong passion
• Sagittarius as part lion, part horse and a spiritual warrior and judge
• Capricorn as a water goat who dies and is reborn
• Aquarius causing the flood which changes the world
• Pisces swimming in the primordial ocean to which we are all connected
In the workshop we will consider both the more well known images of the signs and what the Egyptian insights add. We will focus on the signs most strongly highlighted in the charts of everyone who attends.
This include your sun sign, moon sign, ascendant sign and any other sign prominent in your chart.
We will explore:
• The deeper spiritual meanings of each sign
• The higher purpose, greatest gifts and challenge of each sign
• A light hearted look at how the signs date, the clothes they wear, what makes them laugh.
• Romance and friendship
• Career and financial strengths
• Experience some interactive processes
• Gain a sense of what it would be like to be a different sign, and to be someone else.
Helen has been studying astrology since she was a child and practicing as an astrologer for over 30 years.
This workshop will focus on signs in the chart of the people who attend and is suitable for complete beginners as well as more experienced astrologers.

Please give your birth date, birth time and birth place in advance when you book so Helen can prepare your chart.
Dates: 6 x three hour classes in total on:
Sunday 3 Nov 3-6pm, Wed 6 Nov, Thurs 7th, Fri 8th all 7:30-10:30pm, Sat 9th Nov 11am-6pm
