Please mark your calendars and join us April 25 as we close out our season with an exciting and unique concert featuring the world premiere of a new English translation by Dr. Grant Cochran of Igor Stravinsky’s “Les Noces,” ("The Wedding"). This dynamic piece depicts a 19th century Russian peasant wedding; it’s considered one of the seminal pieces of the 20th century and a work that has had a wide-ranging influence on composers around the world. Accompanied by four pianos, six percussionists and featuring four Alaskan vocal soloists, this is a do-not-miss performance!
Other works span a wide variety of genres and traditions that Chorus members will also be performing on our upcoming tour to Ireland! 🇮🇪 Also performing with ACC will be UAA’s University Singers.
