Ancestry In Motion

This workshop creates space to connect to the structures and movement patterns naturally within us.

The journey to our present human form occurred over a very very long time and with each great transformation, there came a new dimension, form and possibility. These workshop hopes to expand our felt sense of ancestry, to our bodies.

You will be guided into movement exploration, on the floor, standing or in between. There will be times to reflect and write and also share in small groups. You do not need to be a dancer and this is not a performance. And we do use the body as our primary tool for knowing. The material has been broken up into four workshops to allow for the awesome breadth of our human journey to be explored. We will look at what we have inherited from the ocean, the boarder, the land and the universe.

We will journey along the path of our evolutionary biology looking for meaningful pause points and harvest tools that help us to touch in and remember our roots. Our bodies are our natural vessel for wellness and movement and self knowledge are catalysts to greater clarity, support, empowered action.

~ You do not need to know how to dance

~ There will be a mixture of moving to silence, recorded music and live music.

~ You will be invited to be comfortable. Come dressed easy a bring props that support your comfort.

~ Come if you wish to unlock more movement, freedom, and creative energy in your life.
