“After the sudden death of his estranged father, Ky discovers he has living relatives from the small Caribbean island of Kiidadca: his grandmother Norma and her adopted daughter Chevelle. In an effort to reconnect with his new family, he decides to spend the summer with them in their home; but danger lurks in the town of Avebury. While sightseeing, Ky slips away from Chevelle’s watchful eye and explores the strange antique bookshop run by Se, a rumoured Obeah Man that deals in the darker sides of supernatural magic. That fateful meeting is what turns Ky’s life upside down. Ky is thrown into a world of magic and infamous folktale characters, all while having to grapple with his own internal dissonance in regards to his cultural identity and role within Norma’s life. Will Ky be able to overcome the scars of the past and heal the rift within his family, or will Se’s web of lies drive Ky away from Norma and Chevelle, causing history to repeat itself?”
