De Ana Rosa, mi abuela paterna, solo supe que era pianista y que la lobotomizaron en los años 50. De ella, sólo tengo una foto de una tarjeta de identidad. Quise saber quién era Ana Rosa y entender por qué le hicieron ese acto brutal. Por qué la mayoría de lobotomías en el mundo se hicieron sobre nosotras, las mujeres.

I only knew about Ana Rosa, my paternal grandmother, that she was a pianist and that she was lobotomized in the 1950s. Of her, I only have a photo of an identity card.
