An Upper Thames Branch Guided Walk at BBOWT Grangelands, Bucks.
About this Event
Grangelands and The Rifle Range is a BBOWT Nature Reserve. It occupies an undulating site at the foot of the Chilterns Scarp and supports chalk downland with a rich flora and fauna, including some special butterfly species.
We will explore this delightful site, looking for its summer butterflies and day-flying moths. We should see plenty of Chalk Hill Blues and, with luck, we will find the scarce Silver Spotted Skipper.
Accessibility & risks: sloping, steep and muddy in places after rain. Kissing gates. Some stiles. Please check for ticks after the walk and let the leader know if you have picked up any ticks.
Please check here the evening before the walk to make sure it is going ahead as planned. This page will be updated regularly.
Meet at the small Pulpit Hill NT car park, 1.5 miles north-east of Princes Risborough.
