About this Event
An interactive workshop exploring the different legal structures a voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) organisation can take, and how these choices affect governance, income generation, and liability.
Through real-world examples, practical tools, and guided discussion, participants will learn how to navigate key decisions about legal structure.
We’ll cover organisational purpose and objects, planned activities, income approaches, and the range of possible legal structures. You’ll explore the key questions to ask when choosing a structure, the advantages and disadvantages of each option, what can and can’t be changed later, and common pitfalls to avoid.
By the end of the session, you’ll feel more confident in selecting and shaping a legal structure that supports an organisation’s goals.
This workshop is for VCSE organisations only, based in Kirklees and 35 seats maximum are available. These will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
