We have all been there, stood in a rehearsal room, on stage or on set and the director shouts “OK, IMPROVISE!” we instantly start to feel our hearts racing and the negative voices in our heads start swirling !
Our goal in this 3-hour workshop is to introduce you to the tools of narrative long-form improvisation so that you can use them to empower yourself to improvise more authentically.
We feel that great improvisation comes from the ability to be able to work from moment to moment. Improvisation is not about being funny. You have to trust your instincts and be acutely aware of the other actors around you, whilst being totally open to what may happen in the moment. The more you are able to share yourself through the stories that we make, the more likely you will move an audience and the other actors on stage with you.
We hope that you will leave this workshop feeling invigorated and with a new perspective on improvisation. We want you to be able to take these tools further and into all areas of your process.
