An Introduction to Linocut

Enjoy the exquisite craft of Linocut, a traditional printmaking technique and a variant of woodcut.
Suitable for beginners or those wanting to refresh their memory.
During this 3 hour session you will be super inspired! Cut your own design into the linoleum surface and then print onto paper or fabric using our proofing press with support from Makerspace Associate Artist Heidi Sharp.
About the Associate Artist Leading the Session: Heidi studied Fine Art, and is inspired by the Pop Art movement and enjoys exploring the themes of social media and consumerism when working more conceptually. Printmaking allows her to tap into these themes given its trait of being able to print such large quantities at a fast pace, reflecting the mass produced element of both areas.
