Join us as we kick off our Ema's Herbalism Course, May 5th! Sara will be teaching an introduction to herbalism, the principles and philosophies of herbalism, and a historical view of herbal medicine.Herbal medicine has ancient roots, dating back thousands of years to various civilizations such as ancient China, Egypt, India, and Greece. Early cultures relied on plants for medicinal purposes, developing a wealth of knowledge about herbs and their healing properties. Indigenous healers and shamans learned to identify, when to gather, and how to process herbs. It was important to understand the growth cycles of plants and what part of the plant to harvest, each part of the plant having differing uses. We will discuss this as well as some basic herbal remedies you can try at home!
Sara Omanovic is a trained Herbalist under her mother, Ema Omanovic. She apprenticed for 4 years and continued her education through ongoing personal research and Naturopathic classes. Sara hopes to further grow Ema's Herbs as an all-encompassing healing center and continues to work with other practitioners to grow her knowledge.
