Overview
Haematological malignancies are among the most complex and rapidly evolving areas in oncology, with advances in diagnostics, targeted therapies and cellular treatments continuing to reshape how patients are diagnosed, treated and supported. As the breadth of haematology care grows, so does the need for healthcare professionals across all disciplines to build and refresh their confidence in understanding the diseases, the treatments and the complications that can arise.
This hybrid study day will provide an accessible and practical introduction to haematology care, equipping healthcare professionals across all disciplines with the foundational knowledge to better understand, support and care for their haematology patients.
Intended Audience
This study day is open to all healthcare professionals who encounter or support patients with haematological conditions. Whether you are new to haematology or looking to refresh and consolidate your existing knowledge, this day has been designed to be relevant and valuable across all experience levels and care settings.

- Disease Group Sessions: Lymphoma, Leukaemia, Myeloma and CLL
- Introduction to Stem Cell Transplantation, CAR-T and Bispecific Therapies
- Blood Transfusion, Blood Products and Major Haemorrhage Protocol
- Managing Haematology Patients Who Are Acutely Unwell
- Care Post-Treatment, Community Follow-Up and Palliative Support

Venue Information
The Christie Education Centre is located on the 2nd floor in Dept 17 of the main hospital and can be accessed by stairs or lift. Toilets are also on this floor including an accessible toilet. The auditorium has a hearing loop available and ramp access. A prayer room is available and close by. We want everyone attending our event in person to have the best possible experience.
