An Introduction to Collagraph Printing
About this Event
Join illustrator and printmaker Abbie Mooney for an introduction to the art of collagraph printing and create your very own textural prints.
In this workshop, you will be guided through the process of layering textures and marks to create unique printing plates, which will then be inked up to produce a range of original prints.
Collagraph uses a variety of readily available materials, making it a perfect way to get started with printmaking using items you may already have at home. You will leave the workshop with a selection of handmade prints, ready to frame, and your original collagraph plate to reuse as you wish.
Your tutor, Abbie, is an experienced illustrator and printmaker who teaches printmaking and bookbinding in further education and as a freelance workshop facilitator. She is passionate about sharing new and innovative ways of using traditional techniques to keep heritage processes alive.
