What is climate change? What is mitigation? What is adaptation? How do you measure scope 1, 2, 3 emissions? What is business transformation? We hear these buzzwords all the time when talking about sustainability in business, but what does it all really mean? After over a decade of supporting businesses in their transitions to more sustainable operations, SWR brings the knowledge and expertise needed to understand and pinpoint the important and applicable aspects of climate change mitigation, adaptation and transformation. We welcome all staff of Impact Network Member organizations who yearn for a basic understanding in business resiliency in the face of climate change.
Join SWR team members in an informative session to break down sustainability terms, understand the basics, and see where businesses can take action and become more resilient.
What to Expect:
- 12:30-1pm - Registration opened
- 1pm-1:15pm - Networking and light refreshments
- 1:15-2:15 - Presentation by SWR staff: Tova Davidson Rebecca Garlick, and Kyra Chisholm focused on climate science, mitigation, adaptation and transformation.
- 2:15-2:30 - Q&A, discussion, and closing remarks
