You're invited to a special event where the joy of a tea party meets the laughter of comedy improv, designed for girls aged 7-11.
Join seasoned improv teacher, Sarah Joy Shockey (from Second City, iO Chicago, and the YMCA), for an afternoon designed to spark creativity. The tea party kicks off at 2pm, where the girls gather around a table and get to know their fellow participants around tasty goodies and warm herbal tea. Sarah will lead a discussion around their interests, previous experience making others laugh, and will teach them a few games to play.
After the discussion and tea, the girls will put their ideas into action. They'll jump into a series of lively, short-form improv games, guided by Sarah. The event will culminate in a brief, two-game demonstration at 4 p.m., where parents and caregivers can see their creativity and confidence in action. Adults are welcome to be on-site at Mocha Moment during the event, though the tea and games will be exclusively offered to youth participants. Adults wanting to purchase items for themselves may do so at the counter during the event.
