The St. John Paul II Schola Cantorum will offer inspirational music in collaboration with the St. Louis Choir for “An Evensong for Lent” on Sunday, April 6th at 5:00 pm at St. Louis Church, 780 Main Street (at Edward) in Buffalo. Catholic choral masterpieces by Bruckner, Palestrina, Rheinberger, Saint-Saëns, Victoria and others will be performed by the Schola. Please join us as we observe Lent in scripture and song.
The St. John Paul II Schola Cantorum is an independent, “a cappella” choir dedicated to preserving, promoting and performing sacred choral works from the great treasury of music of the Catholic Church. Their repertoire ranges from Gregorian Chant to masterpieces of sacred polyphony from the Middle Ages to modern times.
