An Evening with Steve Logan and Patrick Jones - Cardiff

Join us as we welcome poets Steve Logan and Patrick Jones to the store, bringing a heartening mixture of live poetry readings, earnest discussion, and music.
Touching on topics such as cultural solidarity, cultural displacement, and the idea of hiraeth, this is set to be a deeply touching and affirming evening.
Steve Logan is a poet and rock musician. He has held appointments in English at the universities of Oxford, Cardiff and Cambridge. His new book of poems, Heartlands, was published in 2024. The poems in this collection are written in a vulnerable, open and accessible style, as an act of homage to the people who taught him to love language and music.
Patrick Jones is a poet, playwright, and film maker. He has worked extensively in the community and believes passionately that all should have the opportunity to express themselves. He is an advocate of Poetry Therapy and has developed programmes of writing with those living with Dementia.
