FORUM Books presents a real one off!
Join us at Wylam Brewery as we celebrate Si King’s new book PROPER HOME COOKING in style - there’ll be a book chat and signing, plus live music and your chance to get yer gob round a PROPA pie!
THE BOOK
Si King believes that great food should be for everyone, every day. In his first solo title, Si shares the food he cooks and eats at home: honest, unfussy dishes that are right for real life. From quick and easy weekday solutions and naughty late-night store-cupboard raids to feeding a house full of friends and family, these recipes prove that eating well doesn't have to cost the earth or take hours of preparation.
Drawing on family memories and favourite ingredients, dishes include Frying Pan Pizza, Funky Bean Stew, Spicy Peanut Noodles, Homemade Doner Kebabs, and Banana and Butterscotch pudding. With more than 100 triple-tested recipes, these are dishes you'll come back to again and again, whether you're wondering what to make for the family, cooking for a crowd or simply in need of a quick and tasty snack.
LIVE MUSIC
Good music, like good food, comes from the heart and music is one of Si’s first loves. Groovetrain Acoustic is an off-track and unplugged presentation of songs and stories with Si keeping everyone in time and in the groove.
