Please help Mrs. Claus and Santa by a LIKE and SHARE of this post so everyone can see the new updates for our December 18th event in Morris.Once again she is making me send this top secret information out today!
We are 8 days away from the biggest and best Christmas event in Grundy County.
Mark your calendar for December 18th from 3:45 - 8 pm for An Evening with Santa on Illinois Avenue in Morris, IL.
The Morris Color Guard will present the Colors at 3:45 PM with MCHS student Emma Knudson to sing our National Anthem at 3:47 pm sharp.
Be sure to be there when Tony De Blois welcomes the MCHS Cheerleaders and Santa with his rendition of Santa Claus is Coming to Town at 4 pm. Be sure to stick around to hear Tony sing his favorite Christmas songs and Tickle those Ivories. He knows over 10,000 songs. See if you can stump Tony with a song. If he knows it you have to sing it with him.
Santa and Tony may even do another duet this year.
Grundy County Heroes & Helpers Inc. will be back in 2021 with their Smooch the Pooch booth. Be sure to stop in and see my dog Badger before he falls asleep. He gets tired from the trip down from the North Pole.
With their 3rd year at the event, Alpine Coffee will be selling their very best coffee and hot chocolate. For the 1st time at our event Sweet Tooth will be selling their outstanding treats.
Added to the lineup are your favorite Princesses from 2 Get Moving Realty in Minooka. Your favorite characters will be there again this year.
Mrs. Claus and her dog Brandi will be in the Santa House taking pictures with all the girls and boys. Badger may stop in to and say hello to Mrs. Claus from time to time to warm up.
Maybe you will get lucky and get a picture with both Brandi and Badger with Mrs. Claus.
There will be a first for 2021 with 2 live Ice Sculpture demos. Come out to watch Johnson Studios Ice Sculptures use their chainsaws and carving knives to mold 2 giant figures out from blocks of ice. Demos will be at 5 pm and 7 pm on Illinois Ave. See a sample of their ice sculptures below.
The Morris Redskin Poms and Cheerleaders will be performing at the event around 6pm.
Be sure to stop in at Tully Monster and visit our fantastic Face Painter - Freaky Fun Faces. This is the only in door attraction as the paint will freeze if it is outside. Be sure to check out some of Santa's specials on the menu just for this night.
We will also have a several local Christmas Crafters down on Illinois Ave. Be sure to stop and pick out that last minute Christmas present for the wife, husband or girlfriend. The first person to find Captain America will win a prize from Santa. Be sure to ask questions of the crafters to find the clues to Captain America.
Be sure to get you family picture taken at Santa's Kitchen, Santa's Pickup Truck and even Santa's BBQ decorations. There will be a few more of these to choose from.....
There will be a few more surprises that even Mrs. Claus does not know about yet. Me and the Elves are working on some GIANT surprises.....
Santa promises everyone will get a picture with me. No one will be turned away. Please mingle around and see everything on Illinois Ave.
