Renowned Mycologist Paul Stamets Headlines Fundraiser to Support Provender Alliance
Legendary mycologist Paul Stamets lends his voice and vision to benefit Provender Alliance, a non-profit trade organization dedicated to strengthening the natural food and products community.
Stamets will take the stage for a live talk exploring the intersections of mushrooms, human consciousness, and planetary health. His presentation, “How a Mycologist Helps Community Thrive,” will cover the history and future of psilocybin research, microdosing, and the broader implications of fungi for human and ecological wellness.
All proceeds from ticket sales directly support Provender Alliance, which for almost 50 years has served as a hub for education, collaboration, and advocacy in the independent natural products industry.
The event is made possible through the generous hosting of Springfield Creamery and the Kesey family, along with Host Defense Mushrooms. Their support mirrors the long tradition of cultural icons stepping forward to keep community-driven organizations thriving.
“Provender has always been about weaving together community, values, and vision,” said Tonya Sanchez, Executive Director of Provender Alliance “This event reminds us of the roots we share—the way the Grateful Dead helped Springfield Creamery decades ago, and now Paul Stamets is carrying that torch forward in support of Provender. It’s about connection, and ensuring that what sustains us continues to thrive.”
