An Evening with Maud Lane

Rock group Maud Lane hails from Mobile, AL. Formed around a core of three brothers— Ben, Matthew, and Micah Morris —the group launched during the lockdowns of 2020 (talk about timing) and have been going strong ever since, picking up guitarist Matt Parnell in 2025 to finish out the quartet. The group’s sound is hard to pin down, as the guys each have a surprisingly wide and perpendicular spread of influences and tastes amongst themselves. Needless to say, it’s good. Think of your favorite song, and it’s at least half as good as that! Redefining the meaning of the title of “Alternative” to the genre as a whole, the group prides itself on delivering strong, memorable performances, both in their recordings and live shows. With a lively blend of both the humorous and dance-y to the syrupy and morose, Maud Lane’s embracing of the “focus on the now” mentality carries over through their music and reaches out to the audience, providing a much needed companion in the form of song.
