An Evening with Lorna Luft and Worbey & Farrell: Fundraising Concert

Join us on Thursday 5th January for an evening with legendary entertainer Lorna Luft and internationally acclaimed concert pianists Worbey & Farrell!

Worbey & Farrell open the evening and raise the roof with their stunning arrangements of the world’s greatest music - all with four hands on one piano. Prepare to be moved, delighted, and amazed at the sight of their keyboard capers projected onto a giant screen. But above all prepare to laugh with joy at the sheer ingenuity and style of these masters of musical mayhem. You’ve never seen a piano played like this before!

Programme to include their stunning arrangements of Queen’s iconic Bohemian Rhapsody and the much-loved Warsaw Concerto!

And then introducing Lorna Luft! Using her unique perspective born from a lifetime in entertainment, join Lorna as she brings levity to the craziness in the world around us by sharing favourites from the Great American Songbook. Expect some songs made famous by her mother and film legend, Judy Garland, as well as stories from Hollywood, Broadway, and beyond as only she can tell them.

All proceeds from ticket sales and donations will go directly to Empty Kitchens Full Hearts, a charity based in Granton, Edinburgh, that turns surplus food into meals that are home-delivered to those in need across Edinburgh. Tickets make perfect stocking-fillers for friends and family, and by buying just one ticket, you’re supporting two weeks' worth of food for one person who would otherwise go without.

Doors and bar open from 6.15pm with the concert beginning at 7pm.

About the Artists

Lorna Luft

Born to legendary entertainer Judy Garland and producer Sid Luft, Lorna Luft made her performing debut singing on “The Judy Garland Show.” Since then, she has had dozens of starring and guest-starring roles on film and television, ranging from Grease 2 and Where the Boys Are ’84 to the series “M**der She Wrote” and “Sean Saves the World.” Lorna was co-executive producer of “Life with Judy Garland,” the 5-time Emmy award-winning miniseries based on her best-selling memoir, Me and My Shadows.

For the past several years, Lorna has been starring in American and British productions of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. Her other theatrical credits include her Broadway debut in Promises, Promises; Off-Broadway’s Snoopy and Extremities; the national tour of They’re Playing Our Song; a British tour of Pack of Lies; and Gypsy, Grease, Guys and Dolls, Mame, and The Unsinkable Molly Brown, among many others.

Worbey & Farrell

Worbey & Farrell are internationally acclaimed concert pianists and Steinway Artists with a wicked sense of humour. They have played with the world's leading symphony orchestras, performed in hundreds of UK theatres, have been guests on ITV’s This Morning and are regulars on BBC Radio. They’ve entertained in over 150 countries around the globe with their barnstorming blend of sparky comedy and utterly sensational piano playing. They are also one of few to acts to have received two consecutive Five-Star Scotsman reviews for their sell-out Edinburgh Fringe shows.
