Toon idol and cult hero Jonas ‘Spiderman’ Gutierrez made such an impact at St. James Park during his seven seasons at the club, not least for his trademark goal celebrations! The Tyne Theatre is the place to be as the man himself has flown in from Buenos Aires especially to relive some of the good times, with the fans with whom he will always share such a strong bond.
Come and join local lad and host, Pete Graves from Sky Sports, as he delves into the career of a man who left a lasting impression with the fans on Tyneside! The incredible Ryan Taylor and James Perch will also be joining Jonas on stage!
One of the first names on the team sheet due to his high energy performances, Jonas starred in many memorable moments including scoring spectacular strikes against Peterborough and Barnsley in the Championship-winning campaign of 2009/10, and being a key player in the 2011/12 season as Newcastle Utd secured European football with a fifth place finish.
His trademark goal celebration when he donned a Spiderman mask when scoring is the stuff of legends, a fitting celebration as his goals tended to be spectacular!
There will be plenty of opportunity for questions from the audience, with guests sure to hear plenty of juicy stories from behind the scenes at St. James’ Park. Jonas will also be joined by two special guests who will be announced closer to the event.
