Join us for an exciting evening as we host two of Scotland's finest historical fiction writers, Kate Foster and Elizabeth Macneal, as they discuss their latest novels.About Kate:
Kate is an author and journalist.
She has extensive experience in pitching, writing and editing both in fiction and journalism and loves working with other writers and readers. She has appeared at events and panels and enjoys taking part in talks, Q&As, book groups, workshops and mentoring. She became a debut author at the age of 48 and is happy to talk about her experience of the writing and publication process as an older debut. She enjoys exploring themes of historical retellings and women in history.
Her latest book, The King’s Witches, is a gripping and beautiful historical novel, giving an unforgettable voice to the women at the heart of the real-life witch trials in sixteenth-century Scotland.
About Elizabeth:
Elizabeth is a Scottish author and potter, based in Twickenham. Her bestselling novels, The Doll Factory and Circus of Wonders are widely popular and we will be discussing her latest book, The Burial Plot, with her.
As well as writing, Elizabeth also makes ceramics in a small studio in her garden. Her ceramics have appeared on Mary Berry’s Britain’s Best Home Cook on BBC1, have been acquired by The Museum of London for their permanent collection.
Tickets for the event cost £5 and include a wine or soft drink on entry.
