The Indigenous Studies and Community Engagement Initiative invites you to an event with Drew Hayden Taylor, the 2025 Mellon ISCEI Writer-in-Residence! Drew Hayden Taylor is an award-winning playwright, novelist, journalist, and filmmaker. Born and living on the Curve Lake First Nation in central Ontario, he has done everything from performing stand-up comedy at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. to serving as Artistic Director for Canada's premiere Indigenous theatre company, Native Earth Performing Arts. Currently, he is working on his new novel as well as a history of Indigenous theatre in Canada. He is the proud recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from McGill University.
