Come celebrate the festival's CineLatinx program and John Cassavetes Award winner Clifton Collins Jr. for a special evening at the Denver Botanic Gardens. The festivities kick off with our CineLatinx reception sponsored by Amazon Studios; recognizing cinema from around the Latin American world included within the festival. Following the reception, a clips program and one-on-one conversation with Clifton Collins Jr. and Sie FilmCenter Artistic Director Keith Garcia.
As a Mexican-American, Collins' commitment to diversity and inclusion is of utmost importance to highlight in the entertainment industry. With only three Latinx/Hispanic actors having ever been nominated for lead actor in the history of the Oscars, this commitment to showcasing diverse voices is an ongoing struggle. Collins' storied 30 year career, family history in Hollywood and his unforgettable performance in Jockey will also be discussed.
*All tickets for Denver Film Festival events taking place at the Denver Botanic Gardens are good for admission to the Gardens from 9am to 4pm on the day of your event! If your event begins after 4pm, you must exit the Gardens and return for admission to your ticketed festival event.
