You are cordially invited to the 21st annual An Evening with Chrystal E. concert. It will be held 4 October 2024 7pm, at the Miner Recital Hall (The Governor’s School for the Arts | 254 Granby St., Norfolk, VA 22501). Admission is free with donations greatly appreciated. This concert helps support the Chrystal E. Williams Scholarship; which is granted to a high school graduate who will attend a school of higher learning majoring in the performing arts.
This concert features GRAMMY Award-winning artist Chrystal E. Williams and Oksana Lutsyshyn of the critically acclaimed Invencia Piano Duo. Featured works include Margaret Bonds’ Songs of the Seasons and Berlioz’ Les nuits d’été; as well as Spirituals and other favorites!
The Chrystal E. Williams Scholarship came about because there was a need to help students wishing to pursue a career in the performing arts. It is my hope and dream that in the future, young performers will not have to concern themselves with funding for school; instead, focusing on perfecting their talent and sharing God’s gift with the rest of the world. It is also my hope that more young performers from the area will come to know there are people who support them and their budding careers.
