Beginning life as a classical music child prodigy and then branching out into the world of modern jazz, Broadway with Betty Buckley, Brazilian jazz with Flora Purim, and Big Band with Maynard Ferguson. Christian also scored two major motion pictures for director Clint Eastwood, “Sully” and “The 15:17 to Paris” and performed on over fifty recordings as either leader or sideman. Early honors include the Oscar Peterson Jazz Masters Award and winner of the Great American Jazz Piano Competition. Keyboard Magazine: “Christian sounds like Bill Evans meets Keith Jarrett meets Maurice Ravel.” The New York Times has described Christianʼs performances as: “phenomenal” and “masterful."
