About Chef Patrick O’Connell:
Patrick O’Connell is a self-taught chef who pioneered a regional American cuisine in a tiny Virginia village 67 miles west of the nation’s capital. A native of Washington, D.C., O’Connell was inspired by Julia Child’s first cookbook and in 1978 opened The Inn at Little Washington in a former garage on the corner of Main and Middle Streets. It has evolved from a simple country inn to an international culinary shrine and recipient of 3 Michelin stars (1 of only 13 such restaurants in the U.S.).
