About this Event
An evening exploring material futures and regenerative design with , co-founder of FranklinTill, a design futures consultancy and co-author of Radical Matter: Rethinking materials for a sustainable future.
Caroline Till is co-founder of FranklinTill, a design futures consultancy activating colour and material innovation for positive social & environmental change. In a rapidly changing world, FranklinTill support some of the worlds largest brands and organisations to remain inspired, connected and relevant.
Previously directing the Material Futures postgraduate course at Central Saint Martins college of Art & Design, Caroline’s expertise is rooted in sustainable design practices and design innovation. She is co-author of 'Radical Matter: Rethinking materials for a sustainable future' published by Thames & Hudson, and guest curator of the exhibition Our Time on Earth which opened at the Barbican in 2022, and is currently open at the Peabody Essex Museum in Massachusetts, continuing to tour the globe for the next 5 years.
As part of the evening there will be a haberdashery, fabric and (textile related) book swap. Please bring along any items you'd like to swap.

- Doors open at 6pm
- Hot and cold drinks and biscuits available for free.
- The Town Hall is fully accessible (lift to first floor) with accessible toilets.
- There's a warm and friendly welcome!

Everyone Needs Pockets is a growing network of 150+ makers, designers, stitchers, knitters, sustainable fashion fans and researchers. You might be a mender, a maker or just someone who loves clothes. You don't need skills, only the desire to find out more!
