We’re proud to open our St Patrick’s Week 2026 celebrations with a special evening in conversation with Birmingham’s own Carl Chinn.In Making Our Mark, Carl explores the story of the Irish community in Victorian Birmingham – the people who came here, the work they did, the neighbourhoods they built, and the lasting impact they had on the city we know today. Told through photographs, stories and Carl’s trademark warmth and wit, this is local history brought properly to life.
