Join Band on the Roof for a special evening with alt-Americana songwriter , performing an up-close set inside The Haymaker’s signature speakeasy-style space in downtown Raleigh.

Described as a collision of Highway 61-era Bob Dylan and 90s alternative, Newski brings a scrappy, outsider energy to Americana rock. His songs are sharp, self-aware, and often laced with humor, balancing introspection with a loose, unpredictable edge.

A relentless touring artist, Newski has performed alongside Pixies, Violent Femmes, Courtney Barnett, Manchester Orchestra, Gin Blossoms, Guster, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Nada Surf and more.

He also hosts the podcast , featuring conversations with artists like The Lumineers, Dashboard Confessional, All-American Rejects, and more — a window into the same storytelling and perspective that make his live shows so engaging.

Seating will be provided for guests, with a mix of options available. We recommend arriving early if you have a seating preference, as seating is first come, first served.

The Haymaker will be serving their full beer, wine and cocktail menu, including their signature pick-your-proof options (Zero Proof, Half Proof, Full Proof).

🍽️ Food:
Guests are welcome to bring in food. Feel free to reach out if you’d like recommendations for where to grab something beforehand or pick something up on your way.

Street parking is free on Sundays, with several nearby decks also available.
