Bill Toms and Hard Rain (Featuring The Soulville Horns) return to Columbus for their annual spring concert. This is always a special evening of music from Bill and the band who have been referred to as Pittsburgh music legends. The influences of Stax, Blues, Soul, and Rock and Roll are immediately mixed together into a gumbo that sets your head bobbing and feet tapping. It's more than just a show- it's a soul stirring evening of enjoyment. You don't just go to a Bill Toms concert, you experience it. From the first note, you're lifted up and taken on a ride with the music. By the time the music is over for the evening, the band has given you every last bit of energy they have and left it on the stage. When they leave the stage covered in sweat for the last time you can see they've given you all they have (which is a lot) and you can't ask for anything more than that.
Bill started his musical career at age 15 and gained international attention as the guitarist of Pittsburgh’s legendary band Joe Grushecky and The Houserockeers. During that time, he toured not only throughout the United States, but also Europe for many years.
Bill started his band Hard Rain in 1997 and has released over a dozen albums with them. He has a new one coming out May 9 titled "It's All We're Fighting For," produced by the award-winning Rick Witkowski. We're sure you'll hear some new songs from this one, as well as old favorites. He also released "The Official Bootleg Series Vol.1-Live at Moondogs" earlier this year, which you can hear on all streaming services.
He has shared the stage with many folks you are familiar with, including Kevin Gordon, The Band, Will Kimbrough, Little Feat, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Levon Helm, Bob Dylan, Buddy Guy and Bruce Springsteen- to name a few. That's a pretty darn impressive list of musicians to share the stage with! Both the above-mentioned Bruce Springsteen and Will Kimbrough have also produced albums with Bill.
Join us for an evening of music you won't forget.
Food & Bar: Our full food and drink menu will be available before and during the show.
