About this Event

Andrew Raymond, author of the DCI Lomond series, joins us to launch The Long Isle, the first chapter in a new Hebridean crime series.

Andrew's slices of Tartan noir bring the police procedural bang into the modern age with gripping plots and fantastic characters, and The Long Isle is no different, introducing DC Mairead Maclean to the world. With a heritage including Clarice Starling and Lisbeth Salander, The Long Isle centres on a tight community and a horrific crime, and Andrew brings it to life in his gripping and dark latest novel.

Andrew will join us to talk about creating a new series while continuing a hugely successful one, the differences between urban and rural crime fiction, the dark draw of the islands, and more, before signing copies of his books.
