An Evening with Alan Taylor

Join the Georgia Historical Society on Thursday, September 10, 2026, for the induction of Pulitzer Prize-winning author and historian Alan Taylor as the 2026 Vincent J. Dooley Distinguished Teaching Fellow.
Following the induction, Taylor will discuss his scholarship on colonial America, the American Revolution, and the early American Republic. A two-time Pulitzer Prize recipient and Bancroft Prize winner, Taylor is one of the nation’s leading historians of early American history.
The program begins at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Savannah. A book signing and book sales will follow the program. The event is free and open to the public.
Free off-street parking for the event is available at St. Paul’s in the lot adjacent to the south of the church building. Additional off-street parking is available in the lot at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church.
