About this Event
oin a select group of industry and education leaders, community organizations, and donors for an intimate evening focused on strengthening the talent pipeline powering Oregon’s innovation economy.
Co-hosted by the Technology Association of Oregon and global edTech executive Paige Johnson at her home in Lake Oswego, this private reception will bring together those committed to advancing talent across technology, advanced industries, and emerging sectors.
The evening will feature remarks from Ruthe Farmer—Founder & CEO of Last Mile Education Fund, Oregon native, Lewis & Clark alumna, and Obama Administration policy advisor—sharing a systems-level perspective on how to unlock the talent already in Oregon’s pipeline.
Each year, thousands of students close to completing degrees in high demand technology and engineering fields are forced to stop out due to small financial barriers. Last Mile addresses this gap with a proven, catalytic model. In Oregon, the organization has already supported 161 students, representing more than $150,000 in direct investment to help talented individuals graduate into high-demand careers, achieving a remarkable 80% graduation rate.
Space is limited. RSVP required.
