Join The Georgia Ballet for the inaugural An Evening of Stars: A Celebrity Dance Gala, an unforgettable night of talent, entertainment, and community at the Earl and Rachel Strand Theatre in downtown Marietta.This exciting event pairs local celebrities and community leaders with professional dancers from The Georgia Ballet for a live dance competition benefiting The Georgia Ballet and several outstanding nonprofit organizations. After weeks of rehearsals, each celebrity–professional dancer team will take the stage to perform and compete for both People’s Choice, determined by fundraising totals, and Judge’s Choice, selected by a panel of judges.
The evening will feature celebrity participants Tanya Mendoza (WAGA–FOX 5), Madelyn Orochena (Kennesaw City Council), Suzanne Forte (Comcast), and J. Nichole Smith (DeKalb County) performing alongside Georgia Ballet professionals. Guests will also enjoy special performances by The Georgia Ballet Company and a special appearance by Artistic Director Daet Rodriguez and his wife, Margit.
Proceeds from the evening will support The Georgia Ballet and participating nonprofit organizations, including Atlanta Toys for Tots, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, New Life Alliance, and In the Action.
