An Evening of Music and Poetry with Blake Flattley & Tanner Olson

Songwriter Blake Flattley and poet Tanner Olson will share an evening of music, poetry and stories. You can expect the night to be inviting, whimsical, entertaining, and hopeful.

Tanner Olson is an author, poet, and speaker living in Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife, Sarah, and dog, Pancake. For the last decade, Tanner has been writing and speaking about hope, faith, and love to audiences online and across the US. When he isn’t writing, Tanner spends most of his time watching NBA basketball, drinking coffee, being outside, and catching up with friends. Tanner has written three books of poetry Walk A Little Slower, As You Go: Words for the Unknown, & I’m All Over the Place. Singer-songwriter Blake Flattley writes to bring hope in the darkness, to tell the story of the human struggle, and narrates a story where death doesn’t have the last word. He grew up singing at church and listening to music from the Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, and Johnny Cash. He played in a variety of bands, playing saxophone, guitar, bass, or whatever other instruments he could get his hands on. In 2008 he founded the Orange Effect (We All Yell, Gravel & Gold), a harmony-driven, Americana-folk quartet. After their breakup, he began playing under the moniker Graffiti Cathedral, and later Blake Flattley. He has toured nationally, playing renowned venues such as the House of Blues in Anaheim, California, Los Angeles’ Hotel Cafe, and New York City’s Rockwood Music Hall, sharing the stage with acts like Young the Giant, Sharon von Etten, Flame, Loso and Andy Gullahorn.
