An Evening of Mindfulness with Deer Park Monastics
When life brings moments of anxiety, grief, or frustration, our instinct is often to pull away or resist. Mindfulness offers a gentler path: learning to meet difficult experiences with compassion, warmth, and understanding.
Join visiting monastics from Deer Park Monastery for an evening dedicated to cultivating peace and resilience in daily life. This gathering is hosted by the Floating Leaf Community of Homer in partnership with One River Sangha of Anchorage.
What to Expect:
The program will feature a guided meditation, a Dharma reflection led by the monastics, mindful movement, song, and time for open questions. Afterwards, everyone is invited to stay for tea, cookies, and conversation.
