This special evening, we invite Laura Becker, from Brazil, who will bring her engaging vocals and vibrant stage presence to Cafe CODA for a high-energy night of forró, côco, and samba, backed by familiar musicians from Madison’s Brazilian music scene.Laura Becker is a multifaceted artist, working as a singer, percussionist, songwriter, actress, and educator. With 14 years of experience as a percussionist in the Bloco do Sargento Pimenta, she has performed in various cities in Brazil and abroad. She taught caixa (snare drum) for 8 years in the bloco's workshop and also joined the Bloco do Passo, directed by Lucas Ciavatta. Laura has already participated as a percussionist in several blocos, including Cordão do Boitatá, Bloco Virtual, and Monobloco. In 2020, she released her first single as singer and songwriter, and in 2023, she launched her debut album, "Vento de Lá," under the Boemia label, produced by Mateus Xavier, featuring original songs and collaborations.
