For one night only, Launceston will host a rare opportunity to experience the beauty and tradition of shibari — the Japanese art of rope told by a couple who have woven it into their own lives.
🌹Our Journey
We have been teaching rope together for over three years, honing our craft through dedicated study including travels to Japan to deepen our understanding of this ancient art form.
Coming from Sydney and Northern New South Wales, we are honored to grace Launceston with this rare opportunity to experience our unique perspective and approach to shibari.
This evening offers a glimpse into a practice that balances strength with surrender, discipline with sensuality, and history with modern artistry.
Through our teachings and transmission, we reveal how this beautiful art form can be profoundly healing, deeply connective, and transformatively beautiful.
We will guide you through the background and foundations of this practice, sharing how rope becomes poetry, creating living sculptures that speak to connection, trust, and aesthetic grace.

Presented in the refined surrounds of a luxury hotel in the heart of Launceston, guests will enjoy champagne, fine dining, and an unforgettable evening that speaks to both the sacred and the sensual.

• 6:00 pm — Arrival & Welcome with nibbles and champagne/ drinks available from the bar
• 6:15 pm — Opening rope performance
• 6:45pm — Introduction to shibari: history, philosophy, and our journey
• 7:15 pm — Interval for refreshments and mingling
• 7:30 pm — Dynamic performance
• 8:00 pm — Reflections & Closing
• 8:15 pm — Evening concludes (guests may head to the bar or restaurant)
