An Evening at Venture Bikes - The ARTCRANK Archive LIVE!
About this Event
Join us for a night of bikes, posters, music, food, drinks, and community at Venture Bikes Midtown.
The evening begins with a Slow Roll (a conversationally-paced group ride) on the Midtown Greenway, led by the Venture Bikes crew and Melanin In Motion. After the ride, stay for music, food, drinks, and a large-scale outdoor projection show featuring artwork from the ARTCRANK Archive above the shop after dark.
Bring your bike, helmet, and lights. All bikes and all paces are welcome. This is a social roll, not a race.
ART THAT LOVES BIKES
ARTCRANK events brought every kind of bike person into the same room: roadies and messengers, commuters and mountain bikers, framebuilders and advocates, families on cargo bikes, kids on their first ride.
That same spirit carries into Venture Bikes Art Night, connecting the Greenway to Uptown and welcoming Melanin In Motion’s riders into a celebration of bike culture that reflects the whole city.
A night for people who ride, people who love art, and everyone who feels at home where the two come together.
THE ARTCRANK ARCHIVE
Venture Bikes celebrates ARTCRANK and introduces Venture Bikes as the home of the Archive at Venture Bikes Midtown.
From 2007 to 2021, the shows introduced thousands of people to handmade, bike-inspired posters created by independent artists, illustrators, and designers.
More than 200 original, bicycle-themed posters from past ARTCRANK shows are now installed throughout the shop and available to browse and buy.
The posters at Venture Bikes represent works from that history across multiple years and cities. Together, they create a one-of-a-kind collection of original bike art left to inspire riders for years to come.
The Archive will remain at Venture Bikes Midtown year-round, giving riders, collectors, artists, neighbors, and poster lovers a place to browse and buy original bicycle-themed artwork from past ARTCRANK shows.
