Our Finale Concert features Luamháin premieres (Fiona Gryson, Rachel Duffy, Síofra Ní Dhubhghaill & Maria Matthews) and Síle Denvir & Barry Kerr.
The first half of our Finale Concert features the premiere of an exciting collection of new works for lever harp, 'Luamháin' commissioned by Fiona Gryson. The project is funded by the Arts Council Commissions Award with new compositions for lever harp by John Buckley, Eoghan Desmond, Seán Doherty, Tom Lane and Yue Song. Fiona Gryson, Rachel Duffy, Síofra Ní Dhubhghaill & Maria Matthews will premiere these new works.
Acclaimed artists Síle Denvir & Barry Kerr will perform the second half of our Finale Concert.
Established in 1986, An Chúirt Chruitireachta ranks among the top international festivals for Irish harp. We warmly welcome harpers of every standard and music enthusiasts from all over the world to a week-long celebration of the harp and its music as we mark the 40th anniversary of the festival. Ceiliúradh is the theme of this year's festival which takes place from Sunday 28th June to Friday 3rd July at An Grianán, Termonfeckin, Co. Louth. A highlight of the festival will be a specially curated series of evening concerts featuring internationally acclaimed artists.
