Essex Book Festival is partnering with local Chelmsford writer, Mark Butterworth, to bring a mastercalss writing workshop to Patch.
Mark will share his experiences from an early interest in books to becoming a published author. Discussing how writing a book-whether it is fiction, history, poetry or memoir-is something anyone can do. Mark will be discussing and answering questios on all his work, and in oparticular lhis latest novel, Readymoney Cove.
The session will cover:
- Creative inspiration
- The process of writing
- Research and building engaging characters
- The role of literary agents and routes to publication
- Developing your creativity-includes a free notebook and pen to get you started!
Come with questions, creativity, and eagerness to learn more about writing.
About Mark
Mark Butterworth was born in West London and has lived in chelmsford for over 30years. Travelling widely on holidays and business Mark developed an appreciation of the Far East, Australasia, North America, the Caribbean and Cornwall. Many of these locations feature in his books. Mark is in receipt of Arts Council England, Developing Your Practice funding.
