AN Audition Workshop

Join Broadway Veteran Marguerite Willbanks and Music Director Terri Matthews in The STAR Centre Black Box for “An Audition Workshop!”

The Workshop will cover:

1. An overview on audition preparation
a. How to find music that expresses your best self, both vocally and personally.
b. How to create the best cut of music to fit into the time constraints of most auditions.
c. How to prepare a book or tablet of your best pieces that are readily available for any audition circumstance.

2. The audition
a. How to enter the room and approach an accompanist.
b. How to communicate with the accompanist to get the best out of your audition song.
c. How to start, finish and exit the room.

FREE, but Space is Limited and REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Marguerite Willbanks Bio:

Marguerite grew up in Maryland, performing in various community theatres and dinner theatres before moving to New York City. She worked as a professional musical theatre performer for over thirty years before recently returning to Maryland.

Marguerite was Assistant Director/Choreographer on the Havre de Grace Opera House Production of Sweeney Todd and a Producer on their most recent production of Jekyll and Hyde.
