Royston John is a ‘child’ of the ‘Windrush’ generation. In his TEDx Talk ‘Why did the Windrush?’ he uncovers a deeply insightful journey of how migration shaped the life of a 7-yr old boy who became a 70-yr old man.
In conversations, Royston reveals an unexpected outpouring from Caribbean people, who recognised his story as similar to their own. Interestingly, more people from across the world including Asia and Africa, have identified similarities.
Sadly, too many people have been trapped in silence with no voice to speak or share their story. This event unlocks the voice of ‘Children of the Windrush generation’. Bring your full voice or simply listen and learn!
