About this Event
As part of International Beatleweek, the Liverpool Beatles Museum welcomes Gary and Julie Evans, the children of Mal Evans — the Beatles’ long-time friend, road manager and trusted confidant.
Mal Evans played a pivotal role throughout The Beatles’ career, witnessing key moments in their story and contributing to their day-to-day lives both on and off the road. Gary and Julie will share personal memories of their father, his close relationship with the band, and insights into Mal’s life and legacy.
In 2020 Gary Evans approached author Kenneth Womack with Mal's previously unpublished manuscript for a memoir, along with items from Mal's life including his personal diaries, notebooks, and photos. Gary, Julie and Kenneth worked closely together to publish Mal's story, which is now available in the book "Living the Beatles legend", which was released in 2023.
The event will be followed by an audience Q&A where guests will get their chance to ask questions about Mal's life, his relationship with The Beatles and hear first hand stories from the Evans family.
Tickets are £29.50, doors open at 2pm and the show will begin at 3pm.
